It's a bird! It's a plane! No, wait it WAS a bird!!

Last night my Aunt Michelle came over to do some family history research with me, we both were not familiar with the website and the process so we went to the Family History Library together to get the run down and start building our family tree. Well afterwards we decided to get some dessert at Chili's and visit Robin at work, which was fun :) FYI-My headlights were really bad so Aaron, being the good hubby that he is, ordered me new ones and installed them for me the night before. On our way home after Chili's out of the corner of my eye I saw something BIG flying towards us and then BAM, it hit my car on the frame between the windshield and the driver's side window! I was so freaked out and didn't know what I hit at first because it was dark, but I soon put everything together and realized a bird flew into my car. That was the first animal I hit and killed :( (Hopefully it'll be the last!) It was a good thing that Aaron replaced my headlights because they were reeeeally bad, I probably would have thought I hit a person if they hadn't been replaced! So sadly a bird lost it's life last night, I'm pretty sure it was an owl too. I'll be holding a memorial service tonight for all those who wish to attend.

That happened to me once when I was a kid. We're pretty sure it was an owl, too. It hit the car on the front passenger door, right where I was sitting. It scared the life out of me!

I really like doing family history research. I found this one line in Joe's family that was traced all the way back to Adam. I just found it online though so there's no guarantee of how accurate it is.

When I was in high school I hit a flying duck. It was 2 houses down from mine so I grabbed him and placed him under a bush by their front door and left a note in their mailbox. He wasn't dead but I think his leg was broke. I cried for hours. It was so sad.

OH how scary! Good thing you didn't swirve or do something crazy like that. I'm surprised he hit you though with those eyes WIDE open. huh.
